GS1-128 barcodes are a specific type of Code 128, and conform to GS1 specifications. They begin with a function 1 ('FNC1'), and include GS1 System Application Identifiers. GS1-128s were originally called UCC-128, or UCC/EAN 128, and you may see specs or documentation that still use those terms.
